Welcome to mChatAI — what it is, in 90 seconds
mChatAI is a native macOS app that turns a short prompt into something real: a playable game, a useful tool, an automation that runs on a schedule, a podcast episode, a mini-app you can share with a link.
You stay on your Mac. Your files stay on your Mac. Your API keys stay on your Mac. The platform brings creation, automation, and sharing into one place, and gives every kind of work — chat, build, schedule, share — its own surface.
What you can make today
- Mini-apps and games. Type "build me a Wordle clone with a sunset palette." Ninety seconds later you’re playing it in a window, and one click ships it as a link anyone can open in a browser.
- Native macOS apps. A menu-bar clock with weather, a tiny CSV explorer, a kitchen timer that respects your focus session — generated as a real Xcode project, compiled and running locally without you ever opening Xcode.
- Podcasts and audio. A "what shipped this week" episode, with multi-voice TTS and chapter markers, dropped into an RSS feed your subscribers already follow.
- Automations. A daily Slack digest, a weekly GitHub PR summary, a morning briefing that combines your calendar with last night’s news, all running on schedules you control.
- Documents and websites. From a short prompt to a static site, hosted instantly under your account.
What makes it different
- It runs on your Mac, not in a browser tab. Native windows, native keyboard shortcuts, native files, native everything. The cloud is opt-in, not the default.
- Your data stays local by default. Microservices for image processing, transcription, email triage — they live on your machine, not ours.
- You own the keys. Bring your own OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, Replicate, or whatever else. Pay the model providers what you use. Skip a middleman.
- One ladder, not a cliff. Start with built-in recipes that need no setup. Add a single API key to unlock more. Add another. Add the shell. Each step earns you new capabilities.
What’s next on the blog
This is the welcome post. Coming soon:

- A Built in mChatAI series profiling things readers built with it, plus the prompts they used.
- Behind the Magic — how the self-healing pipelines work, the wisdom-pack system, the multi-agent orchestration.
- A "I replaced $X/mo of SaaS with mChatAI" series for the operators who like spreadsheets.
