AI ToDo
Task lists that sync to your iPhone, plus a panel that turns one task into a list of subtasks.
Tools
What it does
- Keeps several named lists in a sidebar. Each task carries notes, a priority (Low / Medium / High / Urgent), a status (Pending / In Progress / Blocked / Done), tags and a due date, and anything past its due date is flagged OVERDUE.
- Drag a task onto another list in the sidebar to move it there. Filter the current list by All / Active / Done, and sort by Manual, Priority, Due Date, Created or Title — hand reordering by dragging only works while the sort is set to Manual.
- An "AI Assistant" panel runs four things: Suggest Subtasks, Prioritize Items, Analyze Blockers, Summarize Progress. Only Suggest Subtasks writes back into the list, through an "Add as Tasks" button — the other three return text you read in the panel.
- Right-clicking a task offers "AI Actions", which hands that task's title and notes as the goal to a coding agent — the buttons read "Dev Agent (Claude)", "Dev Agent (Codex)", "Dev Agent (Gemini)" — or to a built-in "Research Agent", then jumps you to that running session. Buttons you cannot use yet are shown greyed with the reason ("mChatAIShell not connected", "Agent not configured").
- A bar along the bottom shows done/total and a percentage, and holds a menu with "Remove Done Items" (which sweeps completed tasks into a list called Done Items) and "Delete Done Items". Lists sync over iCloud, and an iCloud button in that same bar forces an immediate push-and-pull.
How to try it
- Open AI ToDo, then click the + beside "Lists" in the sidebar to make a list.
- Type into the "Add a new task..." box — it sits just under the All / Active / Done filter bar — and press Enter.
- Click the sparkles "AI Assistant" button in the toolbar, run "Suggest Subtasks", then click "Add as Tasks" to keep the results.
- Right-click any task and pick "AI Actions" to hand it to a Dev Agent or the Research Agent.
Works with
- The iOS mChatAI app — it has a ToDo applet too, and both read the same CloudKit records
- Dev Agent sessions (Claude / Codex / Gemini), which require mChatAIShell to be connected
- The built-in Research Agent, which does not require the shell
- CLI Portal agent verbs
Drive it from an agent
